Disco and bed

The girls have had a lovely evening, they have danced, sang and made up their own choreography to Happy by Pharrell Williams, the girls stayed in their activity groups and collectively decided that they wanted their group leader to join in!! Well Miss Ley, Mrs Gaskell, Mrs Hill and Mr Roberts (!) were thrilled to join in and excitedly began planning their moves!

I am hoping to bring you videos of the dances when I can!!

The girls are now very tired and are having a quiet chat in their rooms before lights out in a few minutes. They are looking forward to stripping their beds and packing in the morning when we wake them, though we won't wake them as early as they woke us today :-)

Goodnight all x

Tea!

The girls have had a lovely tea and are preparing for a disco. The girls (and some staff) look as if they could fall asleep at any moment but we think a bit of 1D will liven us all up and a bit of Gangnam Style. Mrs Callaway may remember it from last years visit ;-)

Thank you for all your lovely comments I am going to read them to the girls on the coach. I am having real difficulty posting photos but will post all the ones I have on the coach tomorrow.

Mr Wilson, Holly said you can eat her duck pancake!!

Bush Craft

All the girls went off to their activities with a full tummy and lots of enthusiasm.

The group I was with went bush crafting. We walked to a beautiful spot where apparently red squirrels can often be spotted. We walked along a stream and spotted a beautiful waterfall.

The girls were given the task of finding logs to create a shelter, they worked together to collect them and with the help of Faye and Andy they draped a sheet over it, which they then pegged in to the ground. Faye showed the girls how to light a fire using kindling, cotton wool and a fire starter. The girls were very excited to build and light their own. Pip proved to be quite an expert and Kate's determination was admirable.

The girls also got the opportunity to make bread rolls and toast them over an open fire, the results were erm... Interesting!

The girls, Mr Roberts and I had a brilliant afternoon!
